You can find Mancini Leather‘s Boutique and Laboratory in Rome, right behind the Pantheon, in Via della Palombella 28, where Riccardo Mancini carries on his family craftsmanship tradition started in 1918 with the production of handmade leather goods.

Here you can read the history of Mancini’s family.

In creating his collection, Riccardo applies the experience of a century he inherited to shape timeless elegance of superior quality.

The handmade and limited production gives the collection a unique character. The very accurate leather selection, combined with long-term experience, guarantees the superior quality and long life of Mancini’s purses, briefcases and travel and special bags.

In 1918 the master saddler Tito Mancini moved from Ascoli Piceno to Rome to open his workshop at the Theatre of Marcellus‘ arches, at that time buried up to the second row of arches. In 1926 began the restoration work to bring to light the buried part of the theatre and the shops located inside the building were cleared. On that occasion Tito brought to Rome his son Eugenio, with whom he opened a new workshop for the processing of leather specializing in luggage.

They produced finishes in leather for the film costumes of Quo Vadis (1951), the scene luggage for Il Gattopardo (1963) and for the stage play Il giardino dei ciliegi, directed by Luchino Visconti.

In the Mancini’s workshop was also created a folder in white nappa leather and white calf leather commissioned as a gift to Pope Pius XII.

Moreover, Gucci relied repairs to Mancini for over thirty years.

Since then, the heirs of the Mancini family continue the artisan tradition for four generations, now with the great grandson Riccardo in the shop / workshop in Via della Palombella 28, Rome, right behind the Pantheon.
